Associate Training

The attorneys we hire have a desire to assume responsibility early in their career and to grow, learn and develop their skills, not just as a lawyer, but also as a leader and future owner of this firm. As our shareholder-to-associate ratio is one-to-one, associates are highly involved and relied upon in all legal matters. Associates are encouraged to assume as much responsibility as they wish and are capable of handling. On the litigation side, our associates take and defend depositions, make court appearances and draft substantive briefs in their first year at the firm. On the transactional side, associates do not merely assist shareholders in the closing of deals; they play an important part in the drafting and negotiating of documents and agreements. Due to our smaller size, we are able to offer close working relationships between shareholders and associates and to provide extensive feedback for purposes of furthering the development of our junior attorneys.
